The Kentucky Division of Geographic Information and the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) are part of a statewide ESRI site license. In exchange for an annual fee to ESRI, colleges and universities have unlimited rights to use the majority of ESRI software products. The ESRI software can be used for research and instruction by faculty, registered students, and administrative staff.
Eleven postsecondary institutions and the Kentucky Virtual High School are part of this ESRI site license. In addition to receiving the ESRI software, each of these sites will also receive hardware keys and key codes. Hardware keys and key codes allow ESRI software to be used by authorized users. Software documentation is available online.
ESRI technical support is to be channeled through the ESRI administrators and technical support contacts at the universities/colleges. Online courses are offered through the ESRI Virtual Campus. ESRI administrators, technical support contacts, and ESRI Virtual Campus representatives are listed under campus contacts.
